Welcome to
CoreStone Archaeology
As a woman-owned firm, CoreStone Archaeology specializes in guiding clients through California’s cultural and environmental regulations. Our lean structure and efficient processes mean we deliver expert archaeological compliance without unnecessary overhead, saving time and money while honoring our shared heritage.
Why CoreStone?
Efficient, Adaptable, and Cost-Effective Project Delivery
CoreStone is built to be lean, responsive, and grounded in practical solutions. We support cultural compliance across all project phases by developing clear scopes and budgets, coordinating directly with clients, tribal partners, and subject-matter specialists, and maintaining strong communication from start to finish. With minimal overhead, we offer Principal Investigator-level support at a cost-effective rate. Our standard billing rate is $175 per hour.
We’re highly mobile and able to scale as needed through a trusted network of collaborators. Our approach is designed to help clients meet deadlines and regulatory requirements without compromising on quality. Tribal and community consultation is central to our work, and we approach those relationships with care, respect, and consistency throughout each project.
Clear, Practical Regulatory Support
Navigating CEQA, Section 106, and local cultural resource requirements doesn’t have to be overwhelming. CoreStone supports clients through every step by producing clear, regulator-ready reports and working directly with agency reviewers and tribal partners. We prepare Historic Property Survey Reports, Archaeological Survey Reports, Historic Resource Evaluation Reports, and related documentation, tailored to fit each project’s scope, timeline, and regulatory context.
All deliverables are grounded in current standards, built to hold up under scrutiny, and designed to help projects move forward without unnecessary delays.
Collaborative, Cross-Disciplinary Teaming
We team strategically with biologists, engineers, tribal monitors, GIS analysts, and other specialists based on the needs of each project. CoreStone’s lean structure allows us to scale quickly while keeping things personal, efficient, and cost-effective. We’ve built a trusted network of independent consultants and small firms who share our values: stewardship, clear communication, and doing the work right.
Our role is often to bring the right people together early, coordinate cultural compliance efforts, and keep projects moving forward, even when the scope is complex.
